Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers together with its Shippers Supply and All Graphic Supplies divisions are leading distributors of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and industrial supplies & packaging products.

We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 27 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites strategically located across the country. Partnering with trusted global manufacturers, we source, stock, market and distribute a diverse range of quality products while adding value to our customers through an efficient and reliable supply chain.

2020

Spicers Canada acquires All Graphic Supplies, expanding its position in the distribution of wide format and digital equipment, supplies and ink

2017

Spicers Canada acquires Shippers Supply, expanding product mix throughout Western Canada

2015

Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG), one of the world’s largest privately held pulp, paper, packaging and tissue companies purchased Spicers Canada Limited. Now operating under Spicers Canada ULC

2012

Coast Paper, Roll-O-Vert and Spicers in Canada consolidate into one proud company, Spicers Canada

2006

Cascades Resources was acquired by PaperlinX, an Australian based company and the name was changed to Spicers

2002

Coast Paper acquired Montreal-based L.P. Turgeon Inc. Graphic Resources changed their name to Cascades Resources across Canada

2001

Coast Paper was acquired by PaperlinX, an Australian based company

1996-1997

Graphic Papers acquired Barkwell Paper Company Ltd. in Winnipeg. Changed the name Graphic Paper to Graphic Resources and expanded to open locations in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Dartmouth

1992

Select Papers was combined with Graphic Papers in Toronto and operated in Toronto, Kitchener and Belleville as Graphic Papers

1989

Select Paper acquired Ontario Convertor Services Ltd and changed the name to Roll-O-Vert

1985-1986

Wilson Munroe changed their name in Toronto to Select Paper and opened locations in Belleville and Kitchener

1980

Wilson Munroe merged with Kruger in Montreal to form Les Papiers Graphiques

1970

Wilson-Munroe Company was acquired by Rolland Paper Company

1941-1997

Coast Paper was founded by Gilbert Garnett in Vancouver, BC and then expanded eastward opening locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg and Toronto

1904

The Wilson-Munroe Company Limited was formed in Toronto by Edwin S. Munroe and Thomas G. Wilson.

Our parent company, Central National Gottesman Inc. (CNG) owns a range of sales and distribution businesses in the pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, wood products and metals industries. The company employs over 3,000 globally, with 150 offices in 29 countries and in 52 cities across North America.

CNG operates through three divisions: The Central National Division, a global distributor of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, wood and metal products; the North American Distribution Division, comprised of regional paper and packaging companies that supply paper, packaging, wide format, digital and Jan-San products to commercial printers and corporate end users; and the North American Publication Division, which supplies paper to the book, magazine, catalogue, retail and direct mail industry.
